The Young Leader scheme allows Explorer Scouts (and also non-Scouts aged 14-18 working towards the volunteering requirements of Duke of Edinburgh awards or Guiding awards) to volunteer with and help to lead the younger sections, as well as receiving training in the skills necessary to such a leadership role.
